New work and NH Open Doors

Tuesday, May 2, 2017

With CraftBoston Spring behind me (what a lovely venue and what lovely patrons!) as of last weekend, I am preparing for NH Open Doors.

I will be offering a weaving demonstration at Littleton Fine CraftGallery on May 6, 2017. You're welcome to try out the loom, too!

There is some new work on the loom this week. I am somewhat ashamed to say that after 18+ years of weaving, I have never worked with bamboo fiber until now. I'm really liking it so far! I am anxious to see how the new scarf (an eight shaft point twill) feels after finishing. Here is a sneak peek:

This point twill pattern is one of my favorites. I used the same weaving draft in this recently finished piece:

If you would like to learn more information about this piece, please contact me or visit my website to learn about upcoming events (where we could chat in person!).

Finally, I am pleased to share that a selection of my handwoven kitchen towels are available at the League of NH Craftsmen Meredith Fine Craft Gallery. Thank you, Nancy, for making my work available in the Lakes Region of our lovely state.

Back to the loom! Thanks for visiting!

Be well,

Kate K.
